It’s so exciting. I’m really happy for the couple and I can’t wait for all the festivities tonight. We’re going to a bridal luncheon at 11, getting our hair fixed at 1 and we’re supposed to be at the venue at 4 for pictures at 4:30. The ceremony starts at 6 and the reception is after.

I’m so unbelievably excited. :D

Last Sunday was my birthday. The big 25. I had a wonderful day with my family and had an obnoxious amount of cake. Yum.

Well, here I am. I’m trying to make a conscious effort to update here more. Let’s see if that works or not.

My summer was spent working at an internship at a small advertising firm in Houston. It was a fantastic experience and I made a lot of new friends and network connections. My last semester of school ever started in August. I’m already eager and SO ready for it to be over. I cannot wait until December 17 when I walk across the stage and get my diploma. :D THEN it’s out into the real world I go.

It’s now October and I’m super excited about what this month is going to bring, My 25th birthday in 9 days, my nephew’s and bother-in-law’s birthday in 13 days, and my sister’s wedding (to said brother-in-law) in 29 days. It’s going to be super exciting and super hectic for us over the next few weeks but I know it’s so going to be worth it.

I’m in Memphis right now vising my sister and her mister. A friend of hers is throwing her a bridal shower tomorrow and my mom and I could not turn down the invite. I mean, she’s my sister and she doesn’t want to have one in Houston. So, yeah. We’re here. It should be fun.

I’m still looking for an internship for the summer. I had an interview with an advertising agency in Dallas on Friday. I think it went well but I won’t know about it for a week or so. I need to keep looking. It’s really frustrating but I need to be optimistic.

School is going well. My classes and the projects are going well. Spring Break already came and went. I went on a cruise with my parents to Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and Mexico. It was amazing and so much fun. I’m SO glad I did something this year since it’s my last Spring Break ever – I’m graduating and getting my Masters degree in December! :D

My desktop’s hard drive crashed last week and I’ve been trying to get it fixed. I would have replaced it this past weekend but my mom said she had coupons at her house that would allow us to basically get it for free. So I’m waiting for this weekend to go home and fix it. I would have had to pay at least $300 for someone to do it but I think I can do it myself. Doesn’t seem too difficult. *crosses fingers*

I guess the biggest news of all is that my sister is getting married! She got engaged right before Spring Break. I’m so happy for her. She’s getting married on October 30, which is 7 months away from today. It seems so long and distant in the future but I know time will pass so quickly. Plus the 7 months will be *hopefully* enough time to slim down and look good for the big day. It’s very exciting. :D

I have had Lifehouse’s new album, Smoke & Mirrors, on repeat since it came out a few weeks ago. I really love it and I think it’s great. They’re my favorite band and I would probably love anything that they released.

I can’t believe this year has come and gone so quickly! It seems like just yesterday I was saying ‘Goodbye 2008, hello 2009!’. It’s been a pretty decent year. A lot of good things happened this year – grad school, getting a job during the summer, not failing out of grad school – and a few ‘bad’ things happened – mainly my emoness and breakdowns near the end of the year. Anyway, I’m excited to see what 2010 brings! :D

I have no really fancy plans tonight, as evidence of my posting this kind of late. I’m staying in with my parents, watching movies, and eating snack-type foods. We’re going to open some champagne later so it’s all good. lol. It’s pretty much the same as every other year’s plans, which is fine with me. :)

I also made some goals for movies and books for the year. I didn’t quite meet my book goal – I was on my 26th (goal!) book but I couldn’t get into it. I tried and just can’t. I didn’t have enough time to read another so I just called it a good job at 25 books this year. :D I met and exceeded my 100 movie goal which I was shocked, yet happy, about. I’ll probably have those same goals for the new year.

My Resolutions for 2010:
1. Finally, for once and for all, lose 30-40ish pounds and finally be at my desired weight.
2. Make good grades in school and get an internship for the summer
3. Become a better friend
4. Find a guy or at least be more social in hopes of finding a guy.
5. Don’t stay on the computer/online all the time. Branch out and DO NORMAL PEOPLE THINGS.

The winter break will be spent relaxing, trying to improve my resume, and getting it out to everyone and every company imaginable in hopes of landing an internship for the summer. :)

I really suck at blogging here. I’m going to try to get better since I feel like I’ve been neglecting the site and I just renewed it. Don’t want my money to go to waste now, do I? haha.

I really need to pack since I have SO much junk to haul home tomorrow and I don’t want to spend all day tomorrow packing. Woohoo!
